Terms of use
These terms apply to clinics that use The Clinico and to anyone who uses a clinic’s queue or booking pages.
Last updated 23 October 2026.
The service
The Clinico provides a walk-in queue and, where switched on, a calendar, patient records and billing, as a web application. The clinic chooses which parts it uses and is responsible for how it uses them with its patients.
Accounts
A clinic’s Owner creates staff accounts and decides each person’s role. The clinic is responsible for keeping sign-ins private and for the actions taken under its accounts.
Patient data
The clinic is the controller of its patients’ data and must have a lawful basis for what it records. The Clinico keeps the data for the clinic as described in the privacy notice, and does not use it for any other purpose.
Text messages
Reminders and codes are sent through the clinic’s own SMS account. The clinic pays its SMS provider directly and is responsible for the wording it chooses.
Fees
The monthly fee, what it includes and how it is paid are agreed with the clinic in writing before the clinic starts paying. A clinic can stop at any month; its data stays available to download for 30 days after.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot promise it. The front-desk board keeps the last known queue during an outage. The clinic should keep a way to run its queue by hand if the service or its internet is down.
Not medical advice
The Clinico records what clinic staff enter. It does not give medical advice and does not decide the order in which patients are treated; staff do.
Changes
We may change these terms with notice to the clinic’s Owner. Continued use after the notice means acceptance.
